Diva “The Violet Femme” Macdonald (she / her) is Sultry Theatrical Innovations’ resident director. She has been serving camp, chaos, and theatrical absurdity to audiences since 2006. Diva has twirled her tassels on stages from Victoria to Vermont, Prince George to Las Vegas, including several performances at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend. Directing credits include SHINE: A Burlesque Musical (co-written by John Woods) Oliver Fanny, and Greece (does Grease). When not being a silly showgirl or a bossy director, Diva is a mom to a wild 7-year-old and a costumer in film and television.

Rosalyn “Roz” Mihalko (she / her / Mrs.) is a trans, lesbian playwright and screenwriter who loves telling stories with a mix of humour and heart. Her plays have been performed around the world, and her LGBTQ+ romcom musical Texas Annie – The Legend of the Moan Ranger (co-written with John Woods) is currently in production at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe, and won Audience Choice Awards at the 2025 New York and 2022 Cincinnati Fringe Festivals. Roz has screenwriten and developed movies & TV series with Lionsgate, Reel One, and MPCA. Her holiday romance films A Christmas Star (2021) and The Jinglebell Jubilee (2023) played on Amazon Prime and Hulu, respectively.

John Woods (he / him) is one half of musical sex comedy duo The Wet Spots. The act won Pick of the Fringe in Vancouver in 2004 & 2005 and in Adelaide in 2009, headlined the Sydney Opera House twice, and also performed at Massey Hall, the Public Theatre of New York City, and the London Hippodrome. Their musical SHINE won a Vancouver Ovation Award in 2009, and a “Best of the New York Fringe Fest” award in 2010. A 2016 Vancouver re-mount (directed by Diva Macdonald) attracted sold-out audiences. John’s other theatre composing credits include The Grimaldis – A Musical Ghost Story, and Texas Annie (co-written with Rosalyn Mihalko). John is also a Certified Sexual Health Educator who founded and manages Real Talk – a federally funded sexual health education initiative aimed at adults with intellectual disabilities.
